Welcome to Mini Cottage Creations.

I’m Sara, the designer and maker behind Mini Cottage Creations, a small independent business creating colourful, characterful furnishings by hand in Scotland.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Clothing Design and Manufacture and years of experience working in the fashion industry in New York and London, my love of fabrics and design has always been at the heart of what I do.

After working in the fast-paced world of fashion, I moved to Glasgow and began working in a fabric shop, where my passion for textiles took a new direction. Surrounded by beautiful materials every day, I was inspired to start designing my own fabrics, having them printed here in the UK and transforming them into furnishings for the home.

My Scottish heritage is also an important part of my work. I love combining traditional Harris Tweed with my own contemporary fabric designs, bringing together colour, texture and a little Scottish character to create pieces that feel both individual and timeless.

Today, Mini Cottage Creations offers a range of handmade furnishings, including footstools, cushions, lampshades, tables and stools. I’m also delighted that my work has been featured in publications including Vogue, Tatler, House & Garden and The World of Interiors.

Free UK delivery is included with every order placed through my website. For customers further afield, I also welcome international orders through my Etsy shop via https://minicottagecreations.etsy.com, with pieces regularly making their way to the US, Canada, Australia and beyond.

I use recycled or recyclable packaging wherever possible and love working on custom orders. Whether you’re looking for a particular fabric combination, something a little different or a special gift, I’m always happy to discuss ideas.
